We believe in the unique calling and vital role of the local Church. This ministry exists to strengthen and resource leaders so they can realise their vision and serve their communities with creativity and conviction. Behind this work is a small, experienced, and dedicated team who would love to hear from you if you have questions, ideas, or simply want to start a conversation.

Rev Andy Thomas
Director and Producer
andy@thefuelcast.com
Andy is both an experienced Baptist minister and a creative film producer-director, uniting over a decade of local Church leadership with a passion for equipping the Church through film. He has walked with congregations through the highs and lows of pastoral life, fuelled by a love for theology, curiosity, and the big questions of faith. As a filmmaker, he draws out the creative spark in others and uses the alchemy of film to communicate the gospel with beauty and clarity. Away from work, Andy is a contemplative soul who enjoys lively dinner conversations and wandering wild places, reflecting on the wonders of the universe.

Laura Smith
Associate Producer
laura@thefuelcast.com
Laura lives in Bristol with her husband and two children. She brings over a decade of Church leadership experience to her role, and currently leads a thriving church-based café ministry and community fridge, serving her local community with warmth and creativity. As our chief organiser, she works alongside Andy to plan and produce upcoming content, liaise with film participants, and review final edits. On weekends, she can often be found baking for friends or coaxing her children around National Trust properties.

We get to work with an incredible bunch of freelance filmmakers who not only know their craft, but share our heart for the Church. They’re passionate, creative, and committed to producing soulful films that help churches tell their stories, spark conversation, and encourage faith.
